Product Description

Gem Soluble Oil B is a water-mix metalworking fluid developed for general cutting and grinding operations. When added to water at the appropriate concentration, it forms a dense, milky-white emulsion designed to provide cooling and lubrication between the cutting tool and workpiece.

The formulation helps control heat and friction during machining while supporting corrosion protection for components and machine-tool surfaces. It is also designed to help control foaming and maintain emulsion stability in properly managed recirculating coolant systems.

The stated working concentration is 5–10% concentrate in the prepared emulsion. The appropriate concentration within this range will depend on the machining operation, material, water quality and coolant delivery system.

Always add the concentrate gradually to water with adequate mixing. Do not add water directly to the neat concentrate.

For compatible metal-cutting processes requiring a water-mix fluid to provide cooling, lubrication and corrosion protection.

Gem Soluble Oil B is intended for compatible cutting and grinding operations. It is mixed with water to form a milky emulsion that provides cooling and lubrication at the cutting zone while helping protect components and machine-tool surfaces from corrosion.

Measure the required quantity of water first, then add the concentrate gradually while maintaining good circulation or agitation. Always add concentrate to water rather than adding water to the neat concentrate.

The stated working range is 5–10% concentrate in the prepared emulsion. The appropriate concentration within that range will depend on the material, machining operation, water quality and coolant delivery conditions.

Concentration should be checked regularly using a suitable refractometer and the applicable product correction factor, where one has been provided.

No soluble cutting fluid should be assumed to be suitable for every metal or alloy. Confirm compatibility with the workpiece material, tooling and required surface finish before introducing the product into a production system.
