Product Description

Hydraulic Oil H46AW is a superior hydraulic fluid containing a blend of anti-wear, corrosion and oxidation prevention additives, formulated for use across a wide range of hydraulic applications.

Its additive system is designed to provide wear, rust, corrosion and oxidation protection. The formulation also offers hydrolytic stability, demulsifying performance and low-foaming properties, supporting consistent operation in compatible hydraulic and circulating systems.

Common Questions

Both are ISO VG 46 hydraulic fluids, but they are intended for different requirements.

H46AW is an HLP/HM anti-wear hydraulic fluid for systems requiring a conventional viscosity-temperature profile. H46HV is an HVLP/HV high-viscosity-index fluid designed to maintain more consistent viscosity across wider temperature changes.

Use the fluid classification stated in the equipment service documentation rather than substituting one solely because both are viscosity grade 46.

Demulsifying performance allows the oil to separate from water rather than forming a stable emulsion. This can support easier removal of water contamination and help maintain the oil’s lubrication performance.

It does not mean that water contamination can be ignored; the source of water ingress should still be investigated.

It can be used in compatible mobile and stationary hydraulic systems requiring an ISO VG 46 HLP or HM anti-wear fluid. Suitability depends on the system design, operating temperature and required fluid classification.
