Based in Cavan, Gem Oils has supplied lubricants and maintenance products to Irish businesses for more than 60 years.

We work with workshops, transport operators, farms, quarries, industrial businesses and equipment fleets. That cross-sector experience has shaped a straightforward approach: understand the application, provide a suitable product and make it easy for the customer to keep their operation supplied.

Gem Oils became part of Tricel Group in 2023. This gives the business the backing to grow while retaining the established Gem Oils name, team and customer-focused approach.

AdBlue®

AdBlue®, the ISO 22241 diesel exhaust fluid for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems in diesel vehicles and machinery. Converts harmful nitrogen oxide emissions into nitrogen and water vapour. Available in bulk, IBC and packaged formats.

Agricultural Oils

Agricultural oils for tractors, farm machinery and dairy equipment. Covers multipurpose UTTO and STOU fluids, agricultural engine oils, milking machine oil and general lubrication for implements and farm plant across Irish agriculture.

Antifreeze & Coolants

Antifreeze and engine coolants for automotive, commercial and agricultural cooling systems. Formulated to OAT and HOAT corrosion-inhibitor technologies to protect aluminium and mixed-metal systems, plus industrial heat transfer fluids.

Chain Oils

Chain oils for conveyor, transmission and high-temperature chain drives. General-purpose formulations for standard industrial chain applications, with high-temperature options for oven and drying chains at sustained elevated temperatures.

Engine Oils

Engine oils for diesel, petrol and small-engine applications, from heavy-duty commercial fleet use to passenger cars and garden machinery. Supplied to OEM, API and ACEA specifications across mineral, semi-synthetic and fully synthetic grades.

Gear And Transmission Oils

Gear and transmission oils for manual gearboxes, differentials, axles and automatic transmissions. Formulated to API GL and OEM specifications with extreme-pressure protection for gear-tooth contact surfaces under high load.

Greases

Lithium and lithium complex greases for industrial, automotive and agricultural lubrication points where oil cannot be retained. Available across NLGI consistency grades, including extreme-pressure and water-resistant formulations for demanding use.

Hydraulic & Compressor Oils

Hydraulic and compressor oils for industrial, mobile and agricultural equipment. Formulated to ISO viscosity grade specifications for hydraulic circuits, rotary screw and reciprocating compressors, and dual-purpose shared-circuit applications.

Industrial Gear Oils

Industrial gear oils for enclosed gearboxes, drives and reduction units across manufacturing and material handling. Supplied across ISO VG grades with extreme-pressure protection and good water separation for continuous industrial operation.

Process Fluids

Manufacturing process fluids including mould release oils and cutting and cooling fluids. Formulated for specific operations from plastic and rubber moulding through to metal cutting, milling, turning and grinding processes in Irish industry.
